Preston Foods

HOW WE DO IT

Discover our supply chain, logistic solutions and see how they can work for you.

The story of how we do it starts on the lush green pastures of New Zealand’s countryside where animals are given free range to graze and grow at their own pace.

Procured by Ken Wilson Meats, our Natural Farm™ Beef and Lamb is sourced from export quality prime animals. It’s sent to Taylor Preston, a modern export-quality meat processing facility, located on the outskirts of Wellington City. Here it is carefully inspected, graded and weight-ranged to ensure it meets the very highest standards. From here, we get the first pick off the chain from the abattoir and this New Zealand Beef and Lamb is available in carcass form, whole primal cuts and more.

KAM, our Transport and Logistics arm, was originally established to transport meat and meat products from our Taylor Prestons to local outlets. Today, KAM transports from processors, bulk products to farms, primary products to factories, and finished products to warehouses and retail outlets across and throughout New Zealand.

Working alongside Ken Wilson Meats, Preston Foods gets specially selected New Zealand Natural Farm™ beef and lamb sent with KAM Transport from Taylor Preston’s to their processing plant in Grenada North. Alongside this, Ken Wilson Meats also sources products for Preston Foods nationally and globally. These products and carcasses are butchered into customised cuts by their team of skilled butchers and can be butchered further into secondary processed, value added products such as sausages, meatballs, burger patties and more. These products are picked and packed to specification and delivered locally by their delivery team or with KAM Transport, delivered nationwide.

Combining our unique supply chain and logistic solutions with our proactive customer service, we are able to find a solution to fit our clients. No job is too big or too small, we are big enough to provide resources and experience to deliver quality on time, while still being small enough to care.
