Preston’s is a family owned and operated business which has been involved in the food industry for 120 years. Rod Preston supports the business along with his children, grandchildren and the Preston’s team.

Arthur Edmund Preston (A E Preston), Rod’s great grandfather, on a mission to provide export quality product direct to his community began the New Zealand chapter of our story by opening his first shop in Cuba Street, Wellington in 1904, the Preston family have continued to be driven by quality, expanding the company over the years throughout the country and supply chain from procurement through to delivery.

Preston Foods is part of the wider Preston Corp Group Ltd. Our joint strengths allow us to provide a unique offer with a vertically integrated system, controlling product from procurement to delivery, ensuring confidence and experience throughout each step of the supply chain, providing solutions for discerning customer in New Zealand. Boasting strong relationships with local producers, procuring quality product direct from source and leading traders, controlling the selection through strict specifications, managing the production and packing process, right through to picking and nationwide delivery with our network of vehicles.

Hamish Preston - CEO Preston Corp Ltd

Hamish was born and bred in the Meat Industry, helping his father from an early age. After receiving his degree and travelling the world (including a 9-year stint in Japan) he returned to the family business, bringing a wealth of knowledge. He is heavily engaged in the Meat Industry including 6 years as the President of Retail Meat New Zealand. Hamish has long standing relationships with local farmers and a keen knowledge of market movement, giving him the ability to secure quality meat at reasonable prices for consistent supply all year round.

Leigh Taulelei - General Manager

With 30 years’ experience within food production and logistics, Leigh brings passion, commitment, and a depth of knowledge. She started her career with 15 years in busy kitchens and production facilities, before moving into management and completing an MBA. She understands business excellence and the essential nature of strong supplier relationships, building business partnerships, maximising customer value and supporting the team to consistently deliver quality product and service.
